Mike Henry

Mike Henry is a well known New Zealand businessman with an excellent reputation as an entrepreneur and leader in the insurance industry.
He is the founder of Mike Henry Group, specialists in the insurance broking industry, which he started in 1981 and grew to be one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned insurance product and service providers. He also established business interests internationally in the UK, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Asia and Canada. In recent years, Mike has sold two of his major New Zealand insurance businesses to listed Australian insurer, IAG.
Mike has also been instrumental in the growth of UK based underwriting agency, InterGlobal. As Chairman and Shareholder, he helped expand the business from a small UK based operation to a substantial global health insurer with eight offices around the world and customers in 180 countries. In early 2007, Mike and the original shareholders sold Interglobal to venture capitalist firm, Alchemy Partners.
Mike is the Chairman of three New Zealand companies; The Premium Group Limited, Timtech Chemicals Limited and First Rescue and Emergency NZ Limited.
Mike provides Pie Funds with 40 years of business experience and will place a high priority focus on risk management.
Richard Avery-Wright

Richard is a graduate of Cardiff Business School in Business Administration. Richard is the co-founder of Pie Funds. He commenced his career in the City of London in 1985. For the past 25 years, Richard has worked in the finance industry, establishing a number of businesses in the broking, asset management and proprietary trading environments. Richard’s career has given him a deep understanding of financial markets and, in particular, identifying potential market mis-pricings, which arise from inefficient markets.
When appropriate, Richard assists Mike in the implementation of Pie Funds investment strategy and the overall goal of providing our clients with a high level of service and above average investment returns.
