Mike is the Founder and CIO of Pie Funds, as well as Chairman of the Investment Committee. As CIO, he focuses on investment decisions and ensuring Pie’s investment strategy continues to be implemented successfully. Mike is also the Portfolio Manager for a number of Pie's products.
Prior to starting Pie Funds in 2007, he worked in a variety of roles in the financial industry both here and in the UK, including as a banking analyst for HBOS and an equities dealer for ABN Amro. Having purchased his first shares at the age of eighteen, Mike went on to grow his own personal portfolio and then that of friends and family, before starting Pie Funds about ten years later.
Mike is a substantial shareholder of Pie Funds.

James has overall responsibility for client relationships, and is authorised to provide financial advice and recommendations to clients.
Prior to joining Pie in 2018, James was Head of Advice at Fisher Funds Management in Auckland.

Prior to joining Pie in 2018, Simon worked at Westpac in Auckland as an Executive Financial Adviser.

Ana-Marie Lockyer CEO and Board Director

As CEO, Ana-Marie is responsible for directing and executing the company's organisational strategy.
Ana brings over 25 years of broad banking and financial services experience, including a decade in the local and global Wealth teams at ANZ Bank. At ANZ, Ana had a number of strategic and executive roles across insurance and investments, including executive responsibility for New Zealand's largest KiwiSaver Scheme and accountability for strategic decisions and performance of the wealth product suite. She also spent a further 10 years in commercial and product functions at Henderson Global Investors in London. Ana has held governance roles for Pie Funds, ANZ Samoa and the Financial Service Council, and most recently was CEO of AA Money.
Ana qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted as a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors. She is passionate about financial literacy, savings and retirement outcomes for New Zealanders and diversity in the financial services industry.

Roger has had an extensive career in New Zealand’s financial and investment markets, spanning four decades, including corporate treasury management consultancy with Bancorp, Asia-Pacific Risk Management and PwC. Roger’s previous governance roles include Board Chairman of Trust Investments Management, board member of the National Provident Fund and being on the advisory board of the New Zealand Government Debt Management Office.
Since early 2019, Roger has been the Executive Chairman of Barrington Treasury Services NZ Limited. Roger is currently a trustee on the Melanesian Mission Trust Board and a director of ETOS Limited and Forli Partners.

Matt specializes in investment markets and risk management, bringing over 25 years of domestic and international Investment Management and Financial Markets experience.
Matt has held several strategic and executive roles, the most recent being at local brokerage firm OM Financial, where he was CEO. He also held a governance role with Medi-Map NZ, a Medtech startup, which was sold in 2023. Prior to this Matt worked in Corporate Treasury at the Bank of New Zealand, Credit Trading at the National Australia Bank (“NAB”) in Melbourne and NAB Hong Kong managing Interest Rate Trading and Structuring in the Asian region. He also spent nine years at Deutsche Bank Singapore, where he finished as Managing Director and Co-Head of Asian Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Commodities Sales.
Matt has been a member of the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal since 2017 as well as a member of the Special Division. Matt holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking from Massey University. Matt is also on the Board of Auckland Thoroughbred Racing.

Andrew is part of the leadership team and responsible for setting brand strategy and implementing it.
He joined in Pie Funds at the start of 2020, bringing over 25 years’ experience as a senior digital marketing leader. Andrew has held senior marketing executive roles at Frucor Beverages through to large complex multinational environments at Kraft/Cadbury and Tourism New Zealand. Andrew has a proven track record in developing digital, data, market and product strategy, through brand and innovation programs, to deliver outstanding commercial results.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Anna Sullivan Chief Operating Officer

Anna is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing People and Culture, Governance, Legal, Compliance and Risk at Pie Funds.
Prior to joining Pie, Anna was Chief Operating Officer for a listed boutique investment bank in London. She has also advised companies on strategic regulatory change, legal and business transformation matters. Anna also spent a decade in senior legal roles for Barclays in London and sub-Saharan Africa.
Anna originally qualified as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and re-qualified as a solicitor in England. She has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University and a Master of Science from Oxford University in the UK.

With 20 years of financial services experience, Grant joined Pie Funds in 2023. Previously, Grant held pivotal roles on the ANZ Funds Management Leadership Team overseeing product, and prior to that in Investment Operations at ANZ.

Prior to joining Pie in 2018, Guy worked at Ruffer LLP in the UK, and then in Hong Kong as a portfolio manager, covering global equity markets. Guy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Oxford University in the UK, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Cecilia brings broad brand, marketing and business strategy experience to the Board. She's been involved with Pie Funds as a business consultant for a number of years, joining the Board in November 2019.
Cecilia is a serial entrepreneur, founding Au Pair Link, My Food Bag and - more recently - Tend Health, with her husband, James.
After serving as Co-CEO with her husband at My Food Bag for six years, the couple resigned in 2018 to focus on family, other business opportunities and philanthropic work. The Robinsons continue as shareholders of My Food Bag, and Cecilia is also a founding trustee of the Princes Trust NZ.

Brenden has held board governance positions along with various subcommittee roles, including Audit & Risk and Remuneration subcommittees, since 2002. Brenden is a director of Longbeach Holdings, the Christchurch-based parent company of iconic New Zealand clothing brand, Swanndri.
In addition to his Board roles, Brenden provides advisory services in strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, and export market development to a range of clients.

Prior to joining the company in 2023, Michelle was Head of Australian Equities at abrdn, where she worked for 18 years.
Michelle has been researching and investing in equity markets for close to two decades, including significant small cap experience. She has managed a team for many years as well as played an integral role in providing strategic insights for abrdn’s Australian business as Director.
Prior to abrdn, Michelle was a quantitative analyst at Willis Towers Watson.

Hailing from Ireland, Siun is an Investor Support Specialist at Pie Funds, assisting our investment team with queries and the running of day-to-day tasks.
Before joining Pie Funds, Siun worked at Apex for over four years, supporting the KiwiSaver and Managed Funds team, looking after multiple clients and processing funds. Prior to that, she worked at ITC dealing with pensions and investments in Ireland.

Prishana and her family moved from South Africa to New Zealand in 2022. Prior to joining Pie Funds, Prishana worked at Somerset Smith Partners in Napier. Before that, Prishana was at Investec Bank Ltd for 16 years, the last 7 years being in the Wealth and Investment division.

Jaime is responsible for designing communications content, event material and branding.
Prior to joining Pie Funds in 2019, Jaime worked as a senior designer in charge of designing and producing visual artwork for a wide variety of clients.
He has also gained valuable overseas experience working as a freelance art director and designer for several international brands across Latin America, US and Europe.
Jaime has extensive experience in building corporate brand identities and in the creation of advertising campaigns. Jaime holds a Bachelor of Design from the National University of Buenos Aires.
