The Morningstar Rating is an assessment of a fund’s past performance – based on both return and risk – which shows how similar investments compare with their competitors. A high rating alone is insufficient basis for an investment decision. To get a Morningstar Rating (Star Rating), a fund must be at least three years old, and be in a peer group (Morningstar Category) which has at least 10 funds with three-year track records.
