Capitalise on up-and-coming global markets

Global Vietnam_Article 2.jpg

Our investment team always looks for opportunities in up-and-coming global markets – sometimes called frontier markets – like Vietnam.

Vietnam is like China was 20 years ago, and is pivoting towards being a supply economy to the rest of the world.

Vietnam’s been a direct beneficiary of trade tension between China and the US, and is viewed as a much friendlier place to do business. Samsung plans to invest up to US$3 billion to develop its second factory in Vietnam.

Factors making Vietnam a good investment opportunity include the country’s stable politics, a young workforce, and significant infrastructure spend. Its stock market is relatively cheap compared to others, and it had a successful response to Covid-19.

Pie’s Global Growth Fund is invested in a Vietnam-focused fund, through the London Stock Exchange.

Our active management strategy means we can be nimble and take advantage of opportunities in growth companies and sectors abroad. This is further supported by our Pie global research team on the ground in London. Pie’s investment team keeps a close eye on market conditions as part of this active management strategy, which helps us build wealth for our clients.
