The Conservative Fund returned 2.14% during April, benefiting from its nearly 20% weighting in various Pie Funds products which performed well as markets recovered during the month.
We continue to hold 65% of our assets in term deposits yielding relatively good yields compared to where interest rates are currently. We will look to deploy funds selectively into fixed income opportunities and defensive equities as some of these term deposits roll off. Our allocation to fixed income is still minimal at ~3% of the fund, as we took some profits during the month.
