The Conservative Fund returned 1.9% during May, benefiting from its equity exposure in some of the other Pie Funds products, which performed well during the month.
Investors may have seen our recent communication about changes we are making to the Conservative Fund (and to other funds).
Briefly, we are changing the strategy of the Conservative Fund to allow more flexibility of what we invest in to provide income – so we are not so reliant on the returns of a term deposits in New Zealand – and to reduce the fund’s volatility. We expect this to provide a steadier return over time. These changes will take effect in about a month from now.
